We are excited to announce the AdvoKATE Foundation launch! Kate Campa’s fight against childhood cancer will live on forever. Kate was a 16 year old girl who was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma in December of 2018. After a nearly two year fight, Kate passed away on October 7, 2020. Kate’s parents, Lilian and Alfredo Campa along with friends and family are continuing her commitment to making a difference for children who have fought, are fighting and will fight this dreaded disease in the future.
The AdvoKATE Foundation is a non-profit volunteer organization committed to raising awareness and funds to fight childhood cancer. Devoted to providing resources, advocating, research and education, the AdvoKate team plans to “Go Big” with awareness campaigns, fundraising events and programs to benefit children fighting cancer as well as organizations working to put an end to a diagnosis no parent ever wants to hear.

Our Mission & Approach
How can you help?
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The AdvoKATE Foundation in partnership with other local organizations are sharing ways you can make a difference. Buying gold lightbulbs from the Yuma Regional Medical Center Foundation to benefit their pediatric oncology fund, turning items in your business gold in September and tagging #advoKATE, purchasing childhood awareness signs and/or glistening others yards with fact signs are just a few ways you can get involved! Be sure to review our September ToolKit with a full list of ideas!
